Scene:

• Yew has come across a scene. A heated argument between what looks like to be official Martria guards and a city official and a group of farmers.
• Terry, Alaric, and Tab arrive. Trying to listen in and follow as the Famers head back home after not being able to pay.
• Guards, official, and party follow.

Summary

The party arrived in Eldros as tensions flared between farmers, guards, and a city official. Farmers accused the city of demanding taxes while failing to protect them from plague swarms that were destroying crops and killing workers. Unable to pay, the farmers left in anger, followed by the party.

An altercation broke out and was abruptly interrupted by an attack of stirges, forcing the party, guards, and official to fight together. During the chaos, the official was nearly killed by the creatures. As larger swarms approached, everyone retreated indoors, where the party identified the threat as a sign of a Blight Beast a dangerous precursor to a Corpse Flower.

Persuaded by the party, the shaken official agreed to act. The group recruited 3 guards, 3 farmers, and 4 hunters, then marched out at dawn. After fending off additional swarms, they engaged and defeated the Blight Beast in a hard-fought battle. Several allies were injured, but no one died, stabilizing Eldros temporarily.
